Why First Aid
A basic principle. When one’s life is threatened its better to do something than do nothing. Maybe you even save his life.
It can happen to anyone our loved ones at home, parents, coworkers, accident knowing how to maintain Basic Life Support (BLS) may be the difference between life and death for someone.
There is no age limit for a responder. Anyone should be trained.

FIRST AID IN DIVING
Diving as any other sport although very safe if you follow the rules accidents happen. It is essential to know basic first aid because maybe your buddy will need your support or someone from the team. Padi – Rescue Diver Level has first aid training as a prerequisite from Emergency first response (www.first-aid.gr) or any other recognized agency.
CERTIFICATES OFFERED
1. Seminars
- CPR + AED
We learn basic skills such as CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and the use of an Automated External Defibrillator) - First Aid
We learn basic first aid skills such as treating wounds, cuts, stings, splints and to assess the situation, also we learn what a basic Kit should have
We give a certificate of attendance to the participants
2. Become a Responder
- Primary/Secondary Care
Learn the skills to give CPR, learn to assess situation, learn the protocol to help someone. We offer real time practice and a Test+Manual - Primary/Secondary/First Aid/AED
As above plus first Aid, Use of AED. Practice on manikin and training AED, Training in First Aid and Test+ Manual - + Care for children
We learn how to provide care to children and infants 0-1 years old. Can be added to any of the above - Emergency oxygen provider
A certification so you can be an oxygen provider and be able to refill oxygen tanks with medical oxygen - Full Pack (Primary/Secondary/First Aid/AED/Care for children/Oxygen provider)
All of the above, Plus 3 manuals, 2 certifications, and a training Kit for each student - Refresher Course
Every two years a responder is good to refresh his/her skills, so we offer courses. Of course, our students are welcome anytime they wish to participate in our courses at no extra charge
We offer a certificate from Emergency First Response, valid worldwide for 2 years
3. Professionals (Get certified to teach others)
- EFR Full Instructors
Want to become an OWSI Open Water Scuba Instructor or want to become an instructor and certify your students, does you job requires to work in the field (mountains, hiking, canyoning. Then you can become an EFR instructor yourself an train your colleagues or students - Care for children (update for instructors)
You can teach the care for children course, to provide care for children 1-12yrs and Infants 0-1yrs old
4. Special programs
- First Aid for mountaineers, hiking, canyoning, caverns
Specialized course for people that are on mountains. prerequisite is basic EFR knowledge and a valid certificate - First Aid for Pets (coming soon)
Provide basic first aid and Primary care to our little friends. Dogs and cats, not wildlife
All certifications and courses are offered in cooperation with our First Aid training center, First Aid Greece.
Emergency First Response courses follow the emergency considerations and protocols as developed by the members of the International Liaison Committee on Resuscitation (ILCOR).
Members include American Heart Association (AHA), European Resuscitation Council (ERC).
